Julie Townsley, PHR

Director, Talent Solutions

Julie is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Speech Communication. She describes herself as having “fell in” to the field of Human Resources. This happenstance led her to finding a purpose and passion in helping individuals, leaders, and teams achieve personal and professional goals since holding her first HR role as a Corporate Trainer. Julie has since built her career serving in advancing HR roles in a variety of industries including banking, consumer manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, and retail services. She serves as a collaborative business partner in helping to drive strategic objectives focused on performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, learning and development, talent management, employee engagement and workforce planning.

In 2018, after nearly two decades working in corporate environments, Julie ventured out to create her own independent HR and Talent Consulting firm, HRNavs. Through this experience she has partnered as an external consultant with a variety of clients in consumer goods, healthcare, manufacturing, sales, and technology industries. It was during this time that she also found her way to a partnership with TruStar Partners offering interim consulting support. She immediately developed a strong bond with the team and clients they support. When the opportunity presented to become a permanent member of the team, there was no hesitation. Julie began serving in the Director, Talent Solutions role in May 2020 and is looking forward to leveraging her experience in support of current and future TruStar clients.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys family time with her husband and two daughters. Her life passions include traveling, practicing yoga, and allowing the sun to shine on her face as much as possible.
